This was one of the craft designed by Mike Trim while working as Special Effects Designer on the show in the late sixties. The painting itself was done in 2002, using gouache on watercolour paper. | In 1979, Mike Trim undertook for Domino Books Ltd, the design and illustration of a fold-out pocket-guide on spacecraft and this is one of the many pieces of artwork he created for it. Published by Fontana Books Ltd, it contained nearly fifty highly detailed illustrations, including a large number of cutawy drawings, featuring manned spaceflight from Yuri Gagarin to the Space Shuttle. Gouache on line-board, size of featured image only, approximately 6 x 4 inches. |
